Matcha
THE MATCHA TOKYO offers
Certified Organic Products
High quality Matcha has much umami, with no bitterness or astringency.
It should froth nicely, leaving a delicate foam layer at the top of the tea.
The finer the foam, the smoother it is on the palette.
hese characteristics are not easily achieved through Organic cultivation,
due to the absence of chemical fertilizers.
However, THE MATCHA TOKYO works closely with our tea farmers from soil building, tea harvesting,
and blending to reach the most balanced flavors.
Once harvested, the tea leaves are then skilfully
treated and ground into a powder using a millstone
to preserve the umami and nutrients.
The fineness of the powder is vital in giving the consumer the smoothest sip.
